Friday Fragments?

I took a week off from Friday Fragments last week and what a mistake! My head was filled with random ramblings that I now must spew out all over this post. To participate in this therapeutic and extremely amusing meme, head on over to Mrs. 4444’s blog and read the details.

Tiger Woods
I’m sorry, but I have to mention him. Tiger Woods. But not in the way you think. I’m not going to waste space knocking him for cheating on his wife. We all know it’s wrong, if that is in fact what happened. After all, we don’t know him personally and therefore don’t truly know what happened. What I am annoyed about is that the media keeps hounding him to talk to them about the details. I love a good gossip story like the next person, but c’mon people! He apologized for his “transgressions” and as far as I am concerned, that’s all we need to know. This is something that he needs to fix with his wife, not with the public. And what the heck is with the alleged mistress crying on tv?! Give me an ever-loving break!!! You will NOT be getting nominated for an Oscar! You may get offers to write a tell-all book or do an interview, but you better believe I won’t be tuning in to that crap! Alright, I’m done…..

Jon Gosselin
While I am on the subject of useless people in the media, I should mention my thoughts on Jon Gosselin. (You can read more thoughts on this family here). Waste of space! Sorry, I am being brutal here, but I know I’m not alone in my thoughts, so here goes. You’ve been messing up. And you KEEP messing up. Just stop. Stop speaking, stop trying to get people to offer you money for your appearances, and definitely stop trying to get the attention of the public. See that hole in the ground? You dug that hole buddy and it’s getting deeper by the day. Every word that comes out of your mouth makes it worse. Instead, put your energy into repairing the relationships with your kids and YOURSELF, because at this rate, you’re guaranteeing they will be in therapy. And that you’ll have a nervous breakdown by 35. The end!

And Kate, I can’t believe I am saying this, but I think I like your old haircut better than the new one. It makes you look old!

Ok, on to a much happier subject: my son.

Cute Kiddo
My oldest did something very cute the other day that of course I will share with you. He started to gather up his trucks and other vehicles, telling them they were not listening. I thought it was funny because he used the exact same tone we use with him when he is not listening. But then he started to put them on the step behind the child safety gate and saying that they were going to jail. Ok, still pretty cute to see him disciplining inanimate objects. But then he puts himself in “jail.” I tried to tell him that he was in fact doing a good job listening and did not need to punish himself along with his trucks, but he was having none of it. Stuck behind the bars of the gate, he sat there pitifully with his trucks. And I could not stop laughing! He is such an actor. He portrays emotion with such enthusiasm (hmmm….apple doesn’t fall far from the tree perhaps?). I love that kid!

Arctic Tundra
Someone forgot to tell me that one night while I was sleeping, my house was uprooted and moved to the Artic tundra. Because yesterday there was a windchill of -20. Negative 20 people! Pipes in our house were freezing. Dogs walking outside were turning to their owners and saying “Are you kidding me? I’ll just hold it for 2 days!” I know it’s winter, but cold this bad is just a joke. We were punked by Mother Nature today. Would love to punk her back!

So that’s my randomness for this Friday. Looking forward to reading yours. Feel free to join the fun or leave your random thoughts in my comment section. I’m all ears! Be sure to take part in my “Friday Fill in the Blank” also, which is the post before this one.

Also, I’ve got something new on the blog. If you look to the right, you’ll see the “I Had A Mommmy Moment” icon. You’ll see the little blurb underneath it, which explains what it’s about. I’m excited to hear other moms’ embarrassing mommy moments, because after all, we ALL have them! You get to share your moment and details about your blog. And your blog will be featured in that space for a whole week. I’m even willing to share MY own embarrassing moments to make this more fun! Just contact me if you’re interested.

I have to agree with you on Tiger Woods. I am so tired of hearing about that crap all the damn time lately!

I am sick of hearing about Tiger Woods. I mean really…it's ridiculous.

I stopped paying attention to Jon Gosselin forever ago. I don't care to watch or read stupidity.

Bree does the same things with her babies, except she yells at them. I just have to laugh…

Did you see this fail list? http://failblog.org/2009/12/09/fail-blogs-top-ten-of-2009/

Jon G. is right up there. Guess Tiger's thingy came out too late and wasn't enough to cancel the fact that he is like the best golfer ever to allow him to make the list. But, Jon is there, front and center. Almost as sucky as Interrupting Kanye. Not that's embarrassing!

Argh, Jon Gosselin… I am in total agreement. He irks me to no end. I thought it was impossible for there to be any person who could foil Kate in such a way to make her a likeable woman… I was wrong.

I totally agree with you about Jon….waste of space!

That is funny about your son in "jail". My kids make their stuffed animals do bad things and then put them in "timeout". It's very funny!

It's gotten cold here but I can't complain too much because it hasn't gotten -THAT- cold. I think I notice it more though because I'm outside in it, so I automatically think it's 20 degrees colder/warmer than it actually is *L*

The jail story is great, so so funny!

I thought it was cold here, it's not been out of the 30's all day, and my hiney is already feeling like it's mid February with the dry chapped skin…
what's up with this weather???

Ok, at least I know I am not the only cold weathered wimp who hates all this damn media hype over a loser and a cheater! (And that's coming from a girl from a golf family – my mom used to joke that she wanted ME to marry Tiger!).

In both cases, I feel bad for the kids. Everybody should be able to look up to their Dad. He should be a hero.

So you must have been an ADPi then, if RMH was your charity, right?

He put himself in jail! Too funny.

I agree with you on both Tiger and Jon.

Love that your oldest was putting his toys in jail, using his best mommy and daddy voice, then put himself in jail, too! Too cute! :)

Mother Nature has been punking so many of us this year, hasn't she? If you find out how to punk her back, let me know – I'll join you! ;)

Happy FF late! :)

That's so cute that your son put himself and his toys in "jail"! The things kids come up with sometimes.
I am so over both Jon and Tiger.
Thursday was brutal! I had to take my son to the pediatrician that morning and I thought we were going to freeze on the 30 second walk from the car to the door! I won't even express what I was thinking later that night while having to drive to class!

LOL!! Dogs are holding it for 2 days! Can you blame them, really, though?! It really is like living in the arctic!

I'm sick of the media making this huge thing about Tiger — it's only a big story for them personally. We don't know them, and speculating is just pointless and mean. Concentrate on your own lives, people! Actually, I think it's the media who perpetuates this, not even the public. My two cents…

Tiger and Jon G…I'm sick of them both.

Your little boy…what a sweetheart. It's not every day the prisoner holds the key to his freedom :)

Hope you're having a good week…

I had to come back and post here because I just watched the finale of Jon and Kate- I was bored ok!!

Anyway wow! I mean I was over hearing about them but couldn't really side with either, didn't know what was going on. But wow he came off as such an ass! If he mentioned one more time that he is young and that he did so much so young and now is free or whatever, does he hear himself!!

Ok I'm done thank you!!
