ABOUT THE (UN)EXPERIENCED MOM & TAMARA:

The (Un)Experienced Mom represents the “everyday” mom. Working moms, stay-at-home moms, and even single mothers can relate to the content. While this blog has “mom” in the title, other topics discussed on this blog are: media, balance in life, blogging, and life in general. I engage my readers with a comfortable, accepting, and informational atmosphere. As a social media mom influencer, my voice reaches over a thousand people via my blog, Twitter, and Facebook.

I am a married mom of 2 young boys under 3 who currently stays at home, yet never has a dull moment. I stay busy by playing with my kids, managing 2 blogs (and co-managing a 3rd blog), and avoiding cooking. In addition to this blog, I run Blog Conference Newbie, which is a go-to-guide for new blog/social media conference attendees, featuring posts from other bloggers, new or experienced. In addition, I co-created Our Mommyhood, which is a collaborative site for those who combine motherhood and bloghood.

I’m passionate, hard-working, and loyal when it comes to partnering with causes and brands I believe in. I’m family-oriented as I am a mom who professionally worked as a family therapist.

Some of the highlights of my blogging career thus far are:

  • Taking part in a mom roundtable discussion on Mom Talk Radio w/Maria Bailey
  • Creating thriving discussion groups on popular blog community sites such as Blog Frog and Mom Bloggers Club.
  • Assisting at a local Social Media Summit
  • Working as a compensated Blogger Correspondent for a well-known brand’s charity campaign (launching soon)
